I have spent over five years at the National Geographic Society developing a strong foundation of leadership and communication skills.
I interface daily with technologists, designers, strategists, editors, marketers, and executives to manage the creation of award-winning editorial and community-generated content across multiple digital platforms.
One year after being handed control of the National Geographic Traveler Twitter and Facebook accounts, I have grown both by over 75%, which means maintaining an engaged community of over 800,000 people. I started the first branded National Geographic Instagram (@NatGeoTraveler) account in spring 2012. It has quickly grew to almost 30,000 followers.
I am a recognized leader within my company, and the go-to problem solver on my team.
I am a citizen of the U.S. and Canada and I have traveled through Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Central America. I was raised by a doctor and an artist who taught me that I am a citizen of the world, not just my country, and the contributions I make in my time here, big and small, should be for the betterment of all humanity.
